About the Artist
 Ian Dale was born and raised in Alexandria,
Virginia. He moved to Los Angeles in 1999, where he attended
University of Southern California and received a B.A. in Fine
Arts in 2003.
Ian works with
both painting and digital media, inventing characters and situations
to convey a personal narrative. Much of his current
work deals with themes of isolation, discontentment, and the
inner flaws we all must deal with. Whether children, mutants,
or the artist himself, Ian’s
characters stumble awkwardly through their worlds, seeking to come
to grips with their own imperfection. Skilled in a variety of traditional
and digital media, Ian seeks to find an expressive, purposeful,
and beautiful synthesis between his diverse artistic interests.
Ian is currently
available for freelance and commissioned art, illustration, and
design work
