Wow! That feels very warm even though you use mostly cool colors. I think it's because the extra lighting on the father and daughter make me feel like there is a warm fire burning at a nearby fireplace. Nice touch!
The placement of the star between the mother and son give it some emphasis. Do you think it might have been emphasized even more if it was placed more towards the center of the image? Like in the center of the window frame?
The bows of the presents in the back kind of disturb the shape of the daugher's own bow in her hair.
But aside from my two cents, I think the composition is really good. Good job!

The star was placed off center to make room for a text title to go next to it in the final design, but if that weren't the case I would agree.
I think you're right about the bow thing, thanks for the observation.
