About

I’m a freelance illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles, California. I enjoy creating lively character-driven illustrations with a versatile semi-realistic style. I tend to gravitate towards diverse and multicultural characters in my work and seek to amplify the stories of those who are less represented.

I’ve worked with startup initiatives and independent creators and have helped several first-time authors launch new children’s book endeavors. My cover art for children’s books has been recognized four times by the Society of Illustrators LA in Illustration West 58, 61, and 63.

As a person of faith, I often invest in projects that share the hope that has transformed my life. I frequently illustrate for non-profit and faith-based organizations and publishers such as World Vision, The American Bible Society, and Compassion International. Through their ministries, my work has found an audience with kids around the world.

Project highlights include the The Advent Storybook, a best-selling Bible storybook which launched a seven-book collection published by David C Cook. I also worked collaboratively on The Bible App for Kids, an interactive app which has been downloaded over 140 million times in more than 60 languages.

At the University of Southern California, I pursued studio art with an emphasis in painting. I have enjoyed many formative learning experiences through the extraordinary animation and art communities of Los Angeles.

I have been serving on a freelance basis since 2007, with clients in publishing, entertainment, education, tech, faith and nonprofit arenas. I am currently open to freelance, full-time, or part-time work.
