I had previously worked with this Texas-based supermarket chain on a limited edition Houston Astros ice cream and was thrilled for another opportunity to illustrate packaging for their in-house “Creamy Creations” line.

The artwork was inspired by the style of mural paintings on bodega walls. The art director at H-E-B did a phenomenal job designing the typography, so that I could execute the final lettering with a rich handmade look alongside the painted treats and textured wall.

This unique flavor combination combines pickle sherbet, diced pickles, and tamarind chamoy swirl. Upon release the flavor was found to be an intriguing phenomenon on social media as people wanted to taste it for themselves.
