The Bible App for Kids lit up Times Square earlier this month! November 2025 is Global Bible Month, as YouVersion, makers of the Bible App, are preparing to celebrate one billion installs across their family of apps.
2025 has been a record-breaking year for Bible engagement, reflecting a growing global hunger for Scripture and the power of technology to meet that need. YouVersion has been partnering with other scripture-engagement apps like Glorify, Hallow, and The Bible Project as Global Bible Month encourages people to read the Bible every day.
Since 2013 I’ve had the privilege to work with YouVersion and OneHope to develop character and background art, icons, and branding for The Bible App for Kids. It’s amazing to see how God has been at work through these apps and to observe all the teams of people who support their mission. They are globally dispersed but unified in purpose.
Despite being a massive tech platform with hundreds of millions of accounts, YouVersion remains a nonprofit endeavor, and refrains from monetizing users through subscription fees, ads, or selling personal data.
